Upon successful completion of the INSTRUCTOR RATING Program, you will be licenced to conduct Flight Training, under the supervision of a Class 1 or Class 2 Flying Instructor.
In order to enroll in an INSTRUCTOR RATING Program, you must hold a Commercial Pilot Licence.
In order to qualify for an INSTRUCTOR RATING, you must achieve the following:
1. A minimum of 30 hours of Dual Instruction by a Class 1 Flying Instructor, including:
A minimum of 5 hours of Instrument Training.
2. You must pass the Transport Canada Instructor Rating Written Examination.
3. You must be recommended by a Flying Instructor for a Flight Examination.
4. You must pass the Transport Canada Instructor Rating Flight Examination.
Instructor Rating Ground School is focussed on how to provide instruction to your future students, and is designed to prepare you for the Transport Canada Instructor Rating written examination. You will learn how to prepare lesson plans, deliver Ground School Instruction, and how to deliver In-Flight Instruction.
Each Student Pilot is able to determine their own pace, so that your Pilot Training fits your schedule and your financial plan.
It is recommended that you commit to a full-time training schedule, as this rating may be the last step before you begin to earn money as a Pilot.
Upon completion of your Instructor Rating, you may apply to Aurora Aviation Academy as a Class 4 Instructor Pilot. We select the best candidates from our program, to join our Team, under the Supervision and Mentoring of our more senior Flying Instructors.
This is an excellent way to get paid to fly, while building your flight time and experience, whereby each flight brings you one step closer to qualifying for a position with a Commercial Air Operator or Airline.
The Total Cost of your Instructor Rating is estimated to be $9,900 CAD.
We will do our best to advise & support you along the way, so that you can optimize your training experience.
